About You: Henriet Schapelhouman

It's that time again for me to turn the spotlight on one of you. This month, I want to introduce you to Henriët (pronounced on-ree-ET or "ornery yet?").

How We Met

I met Henriët in March 2005. I was attending a 3-day Leadership Vision event and she was my coach. Little did we know that this was just the beginning. It's only been two years since we met, but it feels like a lifetime. The "shiny" hairs on my head don't lie. Do you have a friend like that?

A Little Bit about Her

Triple Tall No Room Americano. That's what you can buy her if you meet her at Starbucks. If it's in the afternoon, you'll want to switch out the Caffeine I.V. and make two of those shots decaf. 

"How is that possible?" is one of her oft-repeated questions. If she can't answer the question, whatever "it" is is thrown into the Bucket of Impossibilities.

She used to be an apprentice of the Cheshire Cat. She learned well. She's got the look, the smile and the "yyyeeeeeesssss..." down pat. If you haven't experienced this, ask her for a demo.

This Past Weekend

To finish up this story, Timberlake (our church) sponsored another Leadership Vision event. Henriët was the facilitator and a key presenter. She did an outstanding job! I had the great pleasure of coaching my own team this round. It was a blast! Talk about coming full circle.
